An Open Letter to Rio Rancho, My Home Town!

Dear Rio Rancho,
I thought it would be nice to introduce myself to the community and let everyone here know who I am and what my wife, Elizabeth Sanchez, and I are starting here in our home town. I am a Christian, a father of 4 and husband to Beth for 10 years! We love this city and the small town feel that it has always had. Not only that, but we feel like this is one of the best places in New Mexico to start a business! For the last 3 years, we have been organizing our lives through the help of family, friends and G5training to start our own brick and mortar business. With inspiration from people like Shelly Crutcher GruenigJoel SextonMichael Schlichte and a ton of other amazing local entrepreneurs, my wife and I have taken the leap and are excited to be Rio Rancho's first official coffee roastery business! As I have been looking into it, I've noticed that there are a lot of business opportunities here in this town of over 90,000 people. Lots of needs to be filled by local businesses not just so we can put money back into our local economy, but so that we can serve each other in the best way possible!
Like the people I mentioned, I'm hoping that Oval Dogs Coffee (our business) will be an inspiration and resource for other future entrepreneurs! If you would like to talk to me about what we are doing, we will be at the Los Ranchos Growers' Market every Saturday and will be opening our doors this fall. You can follow us on Facebook at Oval Dogs for future updates as we get close to our opening day. Mention this post so we can talk over entrepreneurial ideas!
Most of all I want to say thank you to all of you who engage in this city. We had a booth at the Mayor's Sunday is Funday and were so welcomed and encouraged by everyone! We met a lot of new people and had a ton of awesome conversations (mostly about coffee!) and it just reminded us that starting a business here was the right decision!
Thank you again and here is to the future!
God bless,
Daniel Sanchez

PS- Please share with your Rio Rancho friends!
